Founded in 1960 by Jack and Joan Andersen,
Princess Kaiulani Fashions is
synonymous with island fashion like no other design house.
Award-winning designer Joan established the Traditional Muu Muu, Holomuu and Holoku as we know it today. Known for her superb eye for styling and details, Joan, for nearly 40 years, has created fashions of distinction, quality and elegance.
Always featured in
specialty boutiques and department stores throughout the Islands, this family-owned and operated wholesale business decided to make a change in 1987. It was the beginning of a new era for the company as they opened their "below retail" boutique just outside of downtown
Honolulu. Princess Kaulani Fashions believes in the spirit of aloha. It is this belief that the Andersen's and their staff have based their mission statement. "To create every opportunity for each customer to enjoy the Aloha Spirit.
To offer information and assist all customers in
achieving their needs. And provide quality designer fashions in Bridal,
Hula Halaus, group orders
and special occasion attire, ensuring a completely satisfying experience." The timeless styles of Princess Kaiulani are available direct to you for all your Island fashion needs... CASUAL RESORT WEAR, CONTEMPORARY HAWAIIAN, FORMAL ELEGANT AND EXQUISITE ISLAND BRIDAL
ATTIRE. Jack and Joan's daughter Jill is sales manager and assistant to mother Joan. She feels that Princess Kaiulani Fashions offers a very unique opportunity for customers worldwide to enjoy the beauty of Hawaiian Fashions. Jill says "Although our styles are Hawaiian in theory, they are truly universal in nature. Our use of elegant floral fabrics, subtle yet rich colorations in our Hand screened fabrics, plus the use of lace, eyelet and lace trims and Brocades are a mainstay that set us apart." Most
recently, Jill had a great opportunity to work with the Bishop Museum in
reproducing gowns worn by the Hawaiian monarchs. Jill spent many
hours researching the details of every gown in the museum's archives. *Click
